Pros

It is interesting and stimulating to work at an innovative clean tech company. Overall the company feels generally stable, and the pay is decent

Cons

Please know that they have mandated all employees to be in the office 5 days a week. In a world where almost every single other company has settled on some form of hybrid work, this feels excessive and domineering. Even if you don’t mind coming in, consider for a moment what this says about company culture and how the company views and treats employees. Also consider the hypocrisy of calling yourself a clean energy company and asking people to drive to the office 5 days a week

Pros

There are no Pros for working at Bloom Energy.

Cons

The new IT leadership that is run by Mrs. Poole and Mr. Patel uses intimidation tactics and negative reinforcement to get their way. Employees have no say so whatsoever and are constantly harassed about doing more work. There is no work life balance. The expectation is to work you extremely hard and not have a care in the world for your wellbeing. Mr. Patel also has a bad habit of talking about his subordinates to their peers. Mrs. Poole uses fowl language and is very unprofessional during one on one meetings and fail to take feedback which is a extremely important quality that all leaders must have. Not recommended for anyone for a job.

Pros

Bloom is changing for the better fast! Phenomenal new team of executives; experienced, dynamic, high energy, poised for future growth; Evolving culture - less rigid, injection of fun, excitement, lots of new faces and fresh perspective, employee-focused, diversity and inclusion-focused; Benefits - improving as stock price improves and debt structure improves; Opportunity - significant opportunity to have an impact day one; no bureaucracy, things are ready to be broken to make them better This is a company on the rise, going places fast. Get on board. New CMO is fabulous.

Cons

Flexible work options aren't provided yet, but seems like culture is shifting quickly on that and needs to. This was previously a stuffy and rigid engineering and manufacturing culture. That has shifted over the last year with work from home policies, a new executive team. Bloom is becoming a fun and quirky technology company. Opportunities for growth and advancement are still a challenge. People that are leaving are long time employees who feel they are tapped out. Succession planning is missing. Professional development is missing.
