Pros

I met some really great individuals here and forged relationships.

Cons

There is a big disconnect between leadership and what happens in the clinics. You desperately need to spend time with your teams, understand what's going on, make improvements and communicate. I am tired of defending the company to parents and our teams. Part of the problem is that leadership is spending all their time in meetings and not on the floor.

Pros

- Company cares about their clients and progress - Really tries to do the best by the kids and their families - Great individuals work here (but should leave because they deserve better)

Cons

- Pay - PTO, or lack thereof - No work/life balance, centers are open 8-6pm and expect you to be available from 7-6:30pm - I worked 50+ hours a week average, yet was penalized for all the needed overtime - Staff are always having their hours cut unexpectedly. We had a power outage and many staff were not compensated for showing to work or lost 8 hours of pay. If clients cancelled or failed to show, good luck. - Understaffed, no one to cover for employees out sick or vacations. - As an operations assistant I was: cleaning (vomit, urine, after children AND adults), repairing (if I put in a repair request would get reprimanded so I personally fixed toilets, sinks, doors, printers, computers, lighting etc.), scheduling (staff, tours, interviews), contacting families, doing intake, recruiting, stocking, ordering inventory, planning events, training. I was paid $17/hour for doing what could be 4 separate positions.

Pros

The individual clinics do great ABA. They are ethical and provide necessary services for an underserved population.

Cons

The whole company is a con. They boast great work environment and taking care of employees, yet they don’t put it into practice. They conned all of their full-time employees into signing contracts for full-time positions but are now saying full-time hours are not guaranteed. Don’t expect to be able to make up hours lost due to cancellations, because BlueSprig doesn’t want to pay employees out of pocket. They do everything they can to save money when it comes to hourly employees, including paying interns less, but will go above and beyond to pay for logo merch for conferences, a cross-country road trip for the CEO, and full-clinic renovations. But if you ask to make up hours, they say there’s no money to pay you. There is also a cap on raises for how much hourly employees make. They definitely give off selfish corporate vibes even though they are a healthcare company.

We are glad to hear that you enjoyed working with the families as well as learning more about ABA therapy. We are so grateful to have the best BCBAs and RBTs and we appreciate their dedication to our clients as well as the demanding work they put in to change the world for children with autism. When cancelations occur, the center leadership can offer alternative hours, make-up sessions with a client, or hours at a neighboring center. To ensure that we are competitive in the pay arena, we regularly gather market data, however, we understand that feedback is always welcome. We value each employee equally, so we are sorry to hear about your experience. We will continue to find ways to make our processes more efficient so our employees can continue doing what they love! Thank you!
