Pros
- Interesting and global work - Relaxed dress code - Decent pay to start. Yearly bonuses and raises (for now)
Cons
- Morale is dangerously low and management does nothing to change it. - HORRIBLE new employee on-boarding process. New employees are left to fend for themselves and learn on their own just to keep their heads above water. No wonder retention is so low. - Excellent engineers quit and are not being replaced, but the same amount of work (and more) is expected to be completed. - Tech tools only work 75% of the time. Constant outages and changes to tools that still leave employees using the most archaic versions out there. Makes it difficult to complete tasks. - Employees who have been there for decades hold all the knowledge and rarely pass it on in its entirety. When they retire, there will be big problems. - Only 2 weeks of vacation to start. The company acts like they are doing you a favor by giving you a mandatory shutdown in December, whether you want it or not. - Vacation only begins to increase after FIVE years. - 9/80 only offered to SOME at the PGH location. - People are generally not very friendly. Very big divide between newer and younger employees and the seasoned veteran employees. - Cafeteria is awful and overpriced. - Buildings are falling apart. Frequent (and significant) roof leaks, yet nothing being done.
