      Bon Secours is very different than when I started working for them.

      Pros

      Vacation time, health insurance but quality and cost of health insurance has gone down hill.

      Cons

      Mercy Health the company that acquired Bon Secours is laying off those that have served the communities with compassion and loyalty. There have been mass layoffs this year. This is not the same company I worked for 2 years ago or even 12 years ago. It is really unfortunate they are treating long time employees like they are. I myself worked for Bon Secours as well as my wife. We have both noticed drastic negative changes since the acquisition. There is no compassion from executives and people will turn their back on you in a second.

      Pros

      My practice manager is who is keeping me here. Without her, I'd run the other way. The providers are great and they make work enjoyable but we don't see them much. I think the company has the right intentions just door executions.

      Cons

      I was shocked at how low my pay rate was, and even more shocked at how horrible the benefits were. As a health system, the assumption would be that they would offer at least decent health benefits. I honestly can't believe my health benefits are so horrible. Providers don't feel supported or cared about so people are leaving. I've seen 3 providers leave and 2 threaten to leave within 4 months.

      Pros

      Good core staff- I’m referring to the few of us who have worked here long term despite the ridiculously high turn over rate of every position

      Cons

      Many employees were abruptly let go in February. Since then there has been little trust in the company and morale is very low. They refuse to respond to emails addressing concerns. They ignore the fact that we have no one to staff certain positions such as A PSR. With their obvious disregard for our office we suspect they will close us or let us all go without notice as they did to others. However management pretends we don’t notice this and stay tight lipped. Stop treating professional people with higher degrees than some of the management like assembly line workers who mean nothing.
