Pros

Co workers and supervisor cares about you. Health system culture is compassionate for the patient needs, and employee input, overall. Depending on the location, some areas develop a great working relationship between interacting departments.

Cons

You're still a warm body to fill a scheduling hole. The unspoken message from the corporate level is, "cut costs, increase labor, do more with less." Not a lot of freedom to choose working hours that work with your life.
