Pros

-Mostly great staff -Surrounded by beautiful art and objects -Opportunity to travel and learn from knowledgeable specialists

Cons

-Underpaid -In the four years I worked there, only received a review ONCE. Management is against reviews as employees usually ask for raises, promotions, or seek to discuss a career trajectory. In general, there are no opportunities or interest in fostering a dialogue between management and staff especially in regards to growth. -There needs to be more of an HR presence as office reeks of discriminatory atmosphere and practices; cannot say how many time I heard racist, sexist or homophobic language around this office.

Pros

The objects, interesting work, basically spend 50% of your time doing something you'd probably do for free...

Cons

...you are basically doing it for free. Even though you inevitably need several degrees, languages and extensive experience just to start a junior level job there (so much competition) you will get similar pay to a cashier in a supermarket (this keeps out the riff-raff of course!).
