Pros

Wthin Bosch there are many opportunities to advance knowledge and gain experience in a global organization. The products are in general highly technical, and the company is not afraid to spend money for engineering resources. Management is fair, straight forward and honest with employees. I have respect for senior management, and truly believe what they say in company wide communications. I believe that Bosch is a stable work environment, from a financial perspective. Through difficult economic times, I have not been overly worried about job security. I believe that the organization values its employees, and is not quick to eliminate any jobs.

Cons

I feel that compensation is lacking behind competitors, other suppliers, and OEM's. In my opinion, this is somewhat made up for through the interesting nature of the work, but money is always an issue. Although it is refreshing to work for a multi-national corporation, there are some difficulties in working effectively with colleagues in Europe and Asia. There are obviously breakdowns in communications, and instances where information is not properly shared. There are many processes, standards, etc. which are created. This can be confusing and difficult to deal with at times. It is also difficult to keep track of all of these processes.

Pros

Stable, Deliberate Management navigate uncertain times well. The management team seems confident in the long-range business plan to grow North American business. Professional Development has strong commitment from the Top Down. Even in tough economic times, the management team openly admits and advises other managers to keep developing their employees through external and internal training courses. Private company, no answering to Wall Street's quarterly results. Bosch builds a long-term strategy for growth and success, which makes it a very comfortable place to work at during turbulent times.

Cons

Sometimes the management can be too conservative to capture opportunities Pace of change can be frustrating Large corporate structure can feel old world management style to younger employees

Chance to work internationally. The company is so big that reading on review will not provide much relevant information; my experience with Bosch was very negative, you may fare better than me.

Cons

Very political and they do not seem to be concerned with helping employees do a better job.
