Pros

The agency represented innovative technology companies and startups.

Cons

Handling multiple clients is normal in PR, but the workload here regularly crossed the line into unreasonable. Accounts kept piling up while expectations stayed the same. Instead of adjusting staffing, the assumption seemed to be that everyone would just absorb more work. That created constant pressure and made it impossible to do the job properly. Instead of focusing on thoughtful media strategy, most days felt like a race just to keep up.

Pros

Remote work Great benefits (including wellness stipend) Overall friendly management Lots of hands-on learning

Cons

Favoritism when it comes to promotions Junior team members tend to get blamed when a client isn't happy Clients seem to get the wrong idea when they sign and demand instant top-tier results, which leadership doesn't do much to push back on

Pros

The benefits are insane (wellness stipend, phone stipend, wifi stipend, office stipend, AI stipend, etc) and pay are higher and better than most. Co-workers are great people that are truly kind and hardworking. Some interesting clients with high tech solutions.

Cons

The job is naturally repetitive with not much cross-sectionality in roles. This means you will not be writing much content or social or practicing a lot of skills you may have. With the company being privately owned, it is a bit of the Wild Wild West with company standards and rules. HR could use another person or two to just help really regulate processes and professionalism across the broad. Work-life balance seems to be a struggle for this agency across all positions and if you are really into that, this may not be the place for you.
