A company that has fallen behind the times

Pros

Use to be the benefits, more so now, the co-workers. Hard to be terminated from your job.

Cons

Business mentality of the 1980's, very little accountability in executive management for poor decisions. Entry level employes treated poorly due to lack of longevity. Same managers in the same job for years causing massive group think. Unwilling to take constructive criticism from employees that would help grow the business, see the useless employee survey as an example. The company is rampant with favoritism and cronyism.

Abusive, sneaky and corrupt.

Pros

Property is usually clean, they provide employee meals while on shift and have standard PTO accumulation.

Cons

Management is abusive and it almost felt like it was an employee against management war. When I exposed wrongdoing to the corporate office, they launched an investigation & found the allegations against management to be true. Management made life at work very hard and hostile to myself and others involved until we quit or they could fire us. They maliciously marked anyone who left "Non rehireable" (so now we cant ever apply at any other BOYD property ) because we exposed things about management. Never even did anything against policy.....Terrible company.

Most employees suck so it isn't hard to stand out as a good employee

Cons

Micromanagement Insecurity Ineffective senior management Misogyny Most employees suck so if you are good at your job or at least can do your job, you are overworked. Senior management is unresponsive and minimizes employees value
