Pros

PTO plan was good. Hourly team members were good people.

Cons

Failed culture that promoted ignorant white men Bonuses paid for poor performance due to managers longevity Hourly team members excluded from bonus pool Health premiums that triple while having to jump through health coach’s to get lowest premium Long term managers that violated the harassment and retaliation policy Employee survey scores in the 75 percentile year after year with no brain power to fix it Few blacks,Asians or women in management but claiming diversity Hourly turn over that’s 100% Management intentionally runs off smart talented team members for fear of being exposed for their lack of creativity and fear of change. This is done through retaliation and bogus write ups. They ant compliance to build consensus. This is group think.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings regarding the treatment of team members at Boyd Gaming's downtown properties. Boyd Gaming prides itself on its corporate culture and our Boyd Style. The four components of Boyd Style are Valuing Relationships, Integrity, Exceeding Expectations, and Working Smart. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your team members and the relationships that you cultivated. In regards to your comments regarding Boyd Gaming compensation and benefits program. We designed compensation and benefit programs that meets the needs of many. Unfortunately, this does not always meet the needs of all. Boyd Gaming also takes allegation of harassment and retaliation very seriously. Pros

Bill Boyd. He and a few others are still very genuine and there are many loyal employees who stay with the company solely because of him.

Cons

Senior leadership doesn't care about the employees. They only care about revenue and shareholders. Long time employees are shown quite a bit of favoritism and new employees suffer, get frustrated because of backstabbing and poor wages, then leave to work for real companies if they can. Boyd has grown so much over the last 10 years that rather than making things efficient and help employees, they have lost focus on what made the company great… ITS EMPLOYEES. Rather, they keep taking benefits away, giving 1% increases and expect employees to smile and give great service to guests. They have also eliminated many full-time jobs and replaced with on-call or part-time so they don't have to pay benefits. Shame on you!

Pros

PTO, 1 hour paid lunch, customers are wonderful!

Cons

After 17 years of loyal hard work & giving this company my all, I quit. When I came forward about being harassed HR puts up a brick wall only looking out for the company & not me the employee. I became so sick from stress had to go on FMLA for the 1st time in 17 years. HR should be the shoulder for an employee in need, but they weren't so I left the company.
