Positive changes are happening, and transparency is burgeoning. There are staff development and advancement opportunities. We may not be where we're supposed to be--yet--but we're definitely not where we used to be for the good and bad. Growing pains are to be expected. I was concerned about some of the reviews on here, so I asked about them during two of my interviews. Each time, I was told there was a new CEO and executive leadership making positive strides to address the concerns mentioned in previous reviews. The interviewers were candid, and their answers gave me reassurance there had been positive changes, and more changes were in the wings. Fast forward one year... I've seen positive changes, and I've seen some of the issues expressed in previous reviews addressed. I've also seen a surprising amount of transparency--a lot more than I've seen throughout my career. There's been a lot of dust kicked up with the changes--literally and figuratively--but we're "open during construction," so to speak. Changes have been good but, as in most cases, there will always be people who resist change. Sometimes, people resist for the sake of resisting. You may hear the occasional reminiscing in the corners or hallways of "glory days" and how "we used to do this, and we used to have that." Unfortunately, some people haven't stopped long enough at construction zones to ask themselves if some of those years were actually "better" or how we need to fix this now. We need to grow and change with the times, and it can be uncomfortable and scary.
