Tech was not valued by the company, despite being one of it’s main USP’s. Investing in the team would allow for more innovation and additional revenue for the company. It was great to work with smart people who care about the work they are producing.
It felt like due to there not being a direct revenue stream coming from the team that there was no value as not directly lining senior management and investors pockets. False attempts were made to say this wasn’t true, but it is only words. Actions made it very clear that the team was not valuable to them.
