Pros

The company is small with maybe 100 employees, so there was a lot of room for experience from the bottom up. You get to learn every step of the workflow since you were the only one managing a project/task. Great learning experience, however manual and tedious.

Cons

A place you can't climb the "corporate ladder" very far, this is a place you work when you've reached your career ceiling. Very slow career growth, if even. Not your usual Silicon Valley tech company. "Unlimited vacation" isn't actually unlimited, even if you get your work covered/finished while away from work. Upper management does not seem to care about their employees on the ground level.

Yes, a smallish company does not present the same corporate ladder climbing opportunities as one will find at a larger corporation. Employees who do well at BrightSign are open to taking on new responsibilities and thus expanding their career growth and enjoying new experiences along the way. If anyone doesn't feel the company's policies or benefits or anything else is clear, we highly encourage you to talk to your manager or the CEO.

Pros

I worked at BrightSign for many happy years until I was "let go". I agree with other people that the bonuses were great but the lack of salary review (or indeed any review) was not so good since I didn't really feel valued in many ways. Possibly my complaining about the lack of any review is why the decided to get rid of me but I'll never know.

Cons

Needs to implement a formal review structure.
