I can think of no positive benefits. So sad!

Cons

No corporate support. Everything is pushed down to the project level including solving IT related issues. You can try the IT helpdesk but the wait time is so longer or no one answers so you may as well spend the hold time figuring how to resolve the issue yourself. Projects are run like mini corporations so your fate rests in the hands of the Project Director being successful -so you better hope for a good one. In my expereince most of them are not. Upper management seems to all operate off the "CYA" prinicipal as opposed to rolling up their sleeves and learning their jobs.

I choose to work for this company because of the people we serve. The need is huge and the clients are grateful.

Cons

I have never worked for a company that literally does not care for their employees. Branch managers are worked like dogs! Upper regional management refuses to staff branches with a adequate number of employees. Turn over rate is unbelievable! No training for new hires!

You need a lot of energy to stay with him. Sometimes he is hard to follow, great brainstormer but needs a little help with the details.
