Do Not Take a Job Here

Pros

There are some people here who actually want to help you succeed. They are not in leadership. Pay isn't horrible compared to the industry

Cons

If you ever want a good example of how not to lead, BrightEdge would make a fantastic example. The Executive level would be a HR Department's nightmare if they actually paid attention. Clients talk about their immature and drunken behavior and it has gotten to the point where they have been kicked out of venues. The Execs are running the same tired plays both internally and externally thinking that it actually makes a difference. Competitors have gained on or passed BrightEdge in terms of function vs. cost. People are blamed for any type of negative client feedback or attrition vs. looking at the lack of innovation or strength in industry. Within the offices, certain teams are enabled to treat others in the organization like garbage. Office Managers have quit due to the staff's behavior and lack of accountability. I guess this may be their internal career growth plan. Thankfully everyone was remote and didn't have to deal with the behavior in person. People continue to leave BrightEdge week in and week out without so much of a care. Exit interviews go nowhere in terms of improvement and change in behavior. Sure, they say they care about staff but ultimately nothing is done outside of a shallow one-off effort that everyone in the organization identified as fake. Competitors even highlight how poor the culture is here comparatively.

Pros

-Some of the best people i've ever met. You will bond with your fellow coworkers on how miserable you are. -Not too many Pros that other companies don't have tbh

Cons

I worked for BrightEdge for about a year. I was in the top 5 percent for most of the time that I worked there. I'm not going to sit here and bash the company for how awful they are because other reviews have already done that. I will say this. If you are reading these reviews to decide whether or not you want to work here, you should seriously look at other opportunities. BrightEdge is a company that targets newly graduated students with limited options for a reason. They will try to sell you on how much money you can make and how fast you will get promoted. Leadership loves to brainwash their employees on how other companies don't promote as fast. They will also try and tell you that this is what sales is all about. That these reviews are from people that didn't work hard enough. This is all a lie. There are plenty of other companies where you can make MORE money and get promoted just as fast if not faster. If glassdoor had a "Top 10 sinking companies" list, this company would be at the top. Leadership is unwilling to change any issues that their employees constantly face. They continuously add more rules to make the job harder and prevent you from succeeding.

Pros

There are no Pros to working at BrightEdge

Cons

BrightEdge was one of the worst places I have worked at. There is no team atmosphere, everyone only cares about themselves and their numbers and the management is despicable. I could go on and on about all the negative things. The management is completely nonexistent. One to one's are held for the sake of saying they took place, nothing of value is ever discussed and when asked for critical feedback, they aren't able to provide anything of value for you to take away and improve upon. They are also all "bean counters." If you ask how to succeed, the answer is to always be #1 on the leader board. If you ask how to get to the top spot on the leader board, no one knows the answer. The reply is always "put in more hours" (which you will be working 60-70 hours per week -EASILY). High stress, mediocre pay, no room for growth and overall just NOT worth it. There are much better places out there.
