Pros

The entire hiring process was easy and convenient. A recruiter reached out to me minutes after submitting my resume and she was friendly and generated excitement about the company. After I got hired, there was a week of training that was super helpful as someone who didn't come from an SEO background. The HQ office is great: lunch on Fridays, all the snacks you want, plenty of meeting spaces, etc.

Cons

The environment here is intense and the departments are a bit segmented. You are definitely expected to work past the 9-5 and there isn't wide spread WFH options. It can be hard to balance that lifestyle if you live outside the Peninsula. The PTO policy is also pretty weak for the industry: just 15 PTO days including sick time.

BrightEdge Future Progression

Pros

BrightEdge has really evolved as a business over the last few years. The UK office has grown significantly in size and as a result their culture has started to develop. The team is incredibly social and organizes monthly outings for the entire office. Our offices are in Covent Garden and boast numerous perks such as “Free Food Fridays”, office snacks and food, weekly rewards and prices and winner’s dinners. The sales team is a close group that work together to ensure the success of the EMEA office. There is a clear path for progression and the team is very helpful and supportive. I am excited to see what lies ahead for this company and talented team in the UK!

Cons

You need to be realistic and if you want to be successful it involves hard work! BrightEdge provide a huge amount of support, training and a fast learning curve however you need to have the desire to be successful. You will learn more working here in 1 year than any other tech company and you will quickly develop key skills to be successful in future roles/your career. BrightEdge is the market leader in the space and has developed a process for success internally and for their clients. If you do not work hard and embrace this process you will not be successful
