Let me first begin by saying that I ignored all of these bad reviews because I was told that “not everyone is made for sales”. However, after being successful at another company I found it necessary to write about my experience.
The first week will most likely decide your fate at brightedge. What I mean by that is if you don’t come out swinging, management will never look at you the same even if you improve. Also, your AE cosource partner that is chosen randomly will also have a lot to do with how successful you are... a lot of the SDRs get majority of their opportunities from them.
Managers are TERRIBLE. One of the main reasons why I left the company. They choose managers based on their ability to be successful in sales not leadership. Prepared to get a dude about the age of you telling you that you’re terrible when you have a bad day. Let me just add that upper management ALWAYS takes the managers side and they can do no wrong.
They promise you a fast promotion path and tell you about all of these success stories, well let me tell you that some of the best AES got fired during covid because who wants to invest in a 60k software when their businesses are going down the drain? It’s terrible that they are still letting people go during covid for not hitting their numbers ONE OR TWO times YET still hiring new people.
If you’re willing to risk being that 5% that makes it to AE, make sure you’re willing to risk getting let go of for one or two bad months.
They cut pay during covid but still expected you to work the hours.
