Pros

Gen X'er here and I have to say that Brightspeed is one of the best places I've ever worked. I have experience with Fortune 50 companies and small-medium businesses, but this is my first time at a start-up. Love the direction of the company and where we're going. Here's what I love: --flexible work environment...hybrid, office, or remote. --Inclusive environment --local community focus --shared values like people matter, thinking like customers, and transparency, celebrating success, deliver on big ideas, and more. --opportunities to learn and grow --Management is very accessible and approachable. Above all, I love the people. Our teams are close-knit, dedicated, and all want the same thing...fast connectivity no matter where you live.

Cons

I think the company needs to take more risks and better convey how we're a different provider. Marketplace tactics have been a little on the conservative side. Would like to see more creative strategies, tactics and out-of-the-box thinking. But we've only been in business a year, so I'm sure this will happen.

Pros

The people are innovative and encourage each other to think outside the box. The current corporate culture is inclusive and transparent. Upper Leadership encourages all employees to think outside the box to resolve customer problems and invent new ways to do things. The upper leadership team remains in touch with the day-to-day work and always shows appreciation for a job well done.

Cons

As a new company we are all trying to get things done under budget restraints. In addition, some processes, systems and network devices are still dependent on support from Lumen.

Pros

This is a positive and uplifting place to work. Everyone is friendly and responsive even when tasked with heavy burdens. People care and it shows. Great work environment and supportive teams and Managers and Directors all the way down the line. I also see room for expansion and growth within the company. Also, remote work, need I say more?

Cons

It is a start-up so all the wrinkles are being ironed out but that isnt necessarily a con but it is a bit of a struggle. Another thing I wouldnt call a con but a struggle is learning the business. I have never worked in telecoms so some of the lingo is a bit lost on someone who has no experience, but they did a great job of explaining if you have any questions!
