Pros

Direct management is great and enjoyable to work with. Build team understands people have a life outside of work and provide a flexible schedule. Employees can work from anywhere and they use chat apps and video conferencing software to help you feel connected to coworkers. Coworkers are great and easy going, a few have been leaving with the uncertainty of transitioning to parent corporation. Decent benefits, not horrible but also not the best. Management great with time off requests as long as work gets done.

Cons

Becoming more corporate and employees seem more like a number than before. Parent corporation is driving technical direction and is going away from home built software. The company is transitioning and could be a great opportunity in the future once the dust settles but salaries are barely competitive and increases don’t occur every year. Big corporation wouldn’t be bad if compensation matched. We no longer have social events that made Build fun and made up for lack of pay or benefits.

Pros

Okay culture Fun events (a lot have changed or been taken away)

Cons

My boss constantly bullied any harassed me and bullied me but somehow got promoted to a higher position. I never felt comfortable going to HR because they were friends and nothing would happen. The events were filled with drugs and overconsumption of alcohol. Everyone is there for themselves, even thought the culture makes you think otherwise. Not a lot of career opportunities but a lot of favoritism and nepotism. If you’re not in the in group, good luck moving up, having an idea put in place, getting more money, or any praise/appreciation honestly. Ferguson has completely thrown this company down the drain even more changing it to exactly what it aimed NOT to be. Do not apply. You’re warned.
