      Pros

      You can start at the bottom and work to the top relatively quickly if you have the right mindset and understand the culture.

      Cons

      No one will hold your hand. You need to know what you want and ask for it. Apply yourself, do research on your own, don't be afraid to speak up.

      Employees are energetic and driven to be successful. The company treats the employees well and allows them to be creative in their work.

      Pros

      Build.com has a great culture. We are results driven and fast paced, yet enjoy working with each other and having fun too. Build values execution, and will reward employees who can make things happen.

      Cons

      Our goals and strategy are focused on short-term bottom/top line growth, which can be challenging to many who are used to goals related to long term market share and consumer awareness. Success is often measured exclusively in revenue and profit. Build is an ecommerce company, and therefore is nearly always open, including many major holidays: Completely disconnecting can be a challenge.

      All great feedback. You nailed it as well, we always try and hire from within. Sometimes we have to go out to recruit people with unique skills to stay ahead of the pack. I appreciate the review and your candor.
