Pros
•Lots of Overtime Available: the warehouse run in North Highlands is so vastly understaffed due in part to operational managers ONLY wanting to hire through temp agency's and if you don't fight for a starting wage you will get pigeon holed in at 16 an hour. Sooo that grants you the ability to work 10-12 hour shifts because most days multiple people call out and the work needs to get completed so if you are willing to put in the time they will let you. •Mostly awesome co-workers • quarterly bonus anywhere from $50-500 bucks IF ONLY sales are up. •once your foot is in the door and you can prove your worth you have the ability to move around to different positions within, fairly easily at that too. •COMPANY MATCH RETIREMENT: SURPRISINGLY awesome retirement match of 6% (at time of posting this Dec,2023) they set you up with a plan through Empower and the app is pretty solid and gives you lots of options to pick and choose how to invest your money. I fear this may change if the new corporate overlords can't meet their quotas.
Cons
•Terrible management: most of whom have not worked a day in the warehouse, OR the ones who have, have been sitting at a desk the last 10+ years and won't actually help you. new corporate take over also has flooded the place with managers who have no loyalty to the employees and they treat you with total disregard. Also operational managers who were granted positions based on favoritism. •FAVORITISM: boy does this place like to play favorites while trying to walk the corporate HR tight rope. Can't tell you how many times I've watched it play out. So just get in good with (the right) managers and you'll be fine. •HR: is a joke. They are always unavailable when you need them and they are so ill equipped to help you 9 out of 10 times. •STARTING WAGE!!: for whatever reason the main warehouse ops managers do not like starting people at a living wage. Go in guns blazing asking for your worth or you will get stuck at 16 an hour. Also yearly wage increases DO happen yet often for most employees it can be only 20 cents. The work IS CHALLENGING I would not take anything less of 18 to start. They make it sound like you just box orders or you just sweep or just frame out doors but there is MUCH more to it and if your not sent via temp agency you WILL be working with temps who probably won't be much help.
