Pros

The Senior Leadership team currently in place has been together for quite some time. This has created a great cohesive environment for everyone, as they know the expectations very clearly. In my 11+ years here, I have seen the Leadership team make some very difficult decisions, handling each one with as must respect and care for the employees FIRST and foremost. While the staffing world may be a bit slow right now, the leadership team has been through this before and understands how to navigate the hardship and come out stronger. - unlimited PTO - opportunity to work remote - open door to the exec team policy - a TON of online learning options - continued acquisitions leading to opportunities and growth in roles - the limit of what you want to do is truly defined by how hard you want to work for it

Cons

I do not have many things I would say are 'CONS'. I would say that we have some fantastic Leadership training opportunities in the organization that I feel could be brought more to the forefront of conversations so that EVERYONE is aware of them. - Ascend Leadership Training - this is really a fantastic training with 1:1 coaching. I think we should be highlighting this more. - Launch Leadership Training - I actually sat through these trainings as a mentor in the last cohort and found it incredibly helpful as a refresher! The value add of this training should not be understated. As we move forward I would LOVE to see a 'Future Leader Training' that is similar to the Launch program. I think that the more we can have our people prepared to be leaders ahead of time, rather than after they have the title, will pay dividends in the long run with retention and employee engagement.

This is some really great insight and I thank you for taking the time to write it and share it. So much of what you talk about is hard - the larger we grow, the harder it is to hold onto that small, intimate company feel. It's a helpful reminder that as leaders, we have to be extra sure that our mid level managers understand the communications and strategy and can articulate it clearly for folks. I know the changes to the summer and holiday parties seem disapointing, mostly because it's different than what we've done in the past, but I'd encourage you to keep an open mind. The changes were very intentional - and all built around a holistic strategy to bring more people together, more frequently in an intentional way. These weren't cuts to the budget, in fact, we are spending the same amount of money, but have just allocated in ways that we think have bigger impact and ROI to more employees. As for your disapointing comp conversation - comp conversations are one of my favorite things to have with employees. Let's have one! If making more money is something you want to do or maybe it's career growth, we can explore different ways for you to do that at Bullhorn. I appreciate you taking the time, and hope we connect!
