Pros

Aside from getting to meet a small handful of wonderful people, who deserve way better than that place, there were no pros. I saw a ton of red flags raised during the interview process, but had faith that I would be part of a small group of people who wanted to make positive changes and help bring the company into this century. It was all smoke and mirrors. After my first few weeks, it was miserable working there... right up until my last day. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy.

Cons

A few things come to mind: Outdated thinking and outdated practices. Zero gratitude/rewards for meeting or exceeding defined expectations. Low pay. Embarrassingly poor communication in all levels of the company - whether in a team, departments that regularly work together, or between stores and corporate. Regularly and unapologetically ignored when seeking help from key members of exec team. Cloudy, unclear, and contradicting direction/information given from multiple people, sometimes multiple times a day. Insanely high turnover rate in key departments means little to no training - all "sink or swim" and "trial by dumpster fire." Job roles could be - and were - "redefined" at the whim of senior leads... a product of "at-will" employment. Unapologetic favoritism. No accountability. No culture-- all pizza parties and $5 gift cards. Anti-union. No DEI. Sexism. Weak benefit package. No hybrid work, despite 90% of the corporate staff being glued to their computers for 45 hours a week. (Yes, 45, not 40.) Work was piled on while deadlines and workload were ignored by staff of all levels. If you said no or pushed back, you were not being a team player. No regard for professional etiquette or boundaries of others.
