Pros

Catering, General culture (within IT) is good. I've heard murmurs of problems with other departments but if you're looking at working in IT or Engineering then Businessolver is a good place to work overall and I've been happy in my time here. All the tech leads and product managers are friendly.

Cons

Open-Enrollment can be a stressful time. Working a fairly old legacy system causes headaches and if you're not ready to bend over backwards for client requests sometimes you might find the work frustrating.

A tragic waste of time and energy.

Pros

The folks that I worked with here were among some of the best I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. They consistently buy food for the joint; you'll never go hungry.

Cons

Our leadership wasn't empowered to develop, coach, or make judgement calls related to anyone reporting to them. The message from upper management seemed to consistently be one of disdain for front line employees. The general sentiment was that we were all ignorant peons but a necessary evil to run the machine. I noticed the company consistently misrepresented the product to clients resulting in dissatisfaction and cover-ups once the contracts were in place. Their dedicated teams were never dedicated and oft times folks not trained to take a particular client's calls took the bulk of them. Employees are often put into a direct moral conflict of what the company wanted and what was best for the clients/employees that we served at the end of the day. This most frequently culminated in the feeling of compromised moral integrity and defeat, as any suggestions contrary to the status quo were, at best, shot down or outright ignored and, at worst, being subjected to incredulous scrutiny in the hopes that your termination could be justified. My time here was mired in frustration for the clients we served, their employees whom bore the brunt of our disregard for integrity, and my coworkers who drug themselves into work everyday trying to navigate conflicting messages, insufficient resources, and repeated outright lies.
