The most toxic environment you’ll ever

Pros

Good area, good benefits, good socials

Cons

In the Customer Love department, it’s absolutely toxic and will make you feel low on a day to day basis. There are team leaders in particular who are bullies, will not want you to progress unless you’re well liked by all of management, and you’ll be micromanaged daily. You won’t be able to go to the toilet or for some air without coming back to questions asking where you were and why you were gone for so long, even if it was 5 minutes. The department is run by a bunch of power hungry individuals and one of their values is genuine care….don’t know where that is in the department, they like to give off the impression they care but they really don’t about you, it’s business before you. Only want certain individuals to progress and the rest can forget about it which was basically said once. It’s the most gossipy work environment I’ve ever been in, so cliquey and everyone knows everyone’s business and nothing is a secret which is absolutely shocking and upsetting. I’ve heard on numerous occasions in the office team leaders and managers talking about members on the team who they dislike and sharing personal information about them. Team leaders and managers will basically go off and talk about members of staff so that’s horrible. They will make you feel like you can only do one thing and that’s it, stay in your lane/box and don’t bother wanting to develop. The most soul crushing place and you actively have people who don’t want to see you succeed. Leaving was honestly the best decision I’ve ever made and I strongly advise people don’t apply in the Customer Love team if you care about yourself and your wellbeing.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. While it’s great to hear you appreciated our benefits and socials, we’re deeply sorry to learn about your experience in the Customer Love team. We strive to be the best place people have ever worked, and it’s clear that in your experience, we fell short. The concerns you’ve raised about the working environment and team dynamics are not reflective of the culture we aim to create. Genuine Care is one of our core values, and we are disappointed to hear that this wasn’t your experience. Your feedback will be shared with the leadership team to ensure we address these issues and take meaningful steps to improve and we’re committed to learning from this and making positive changes. We truly appreciate you sharing your perspective and wish you all the best in your future endeavours.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We appreciate your honesty, and your input is invaluable as we strive to create a positive and supportive work environment. It's great to hear that you appreciate the hourly rate, free hot drinks, free fruit, payday pizza, Christmas bonus, and paid get-togethers. We're pleased to know that these initiatives contribute to a positive experience for our squad members. However, we are sorry to hear about the challenges you're facing, including the cold environment and the physical and mental demands of the job. Your well-being is our priority, and we constantly look for ways we can support you with our uniform and the winter warmer offerings we have been able to offer over the last few years (thermals, freezer jackets, etc.). We will continue to look into the investment of machinery and automation opportunities, as we have done in some areas so far, to hopefully improve some of the experiences you have shared. We want to assure you that we are committed to fostering a fair and inclusive workplace. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, and we will work towards creating an environment where everyone feels valued and treated equitably. Once again, thank you for sharing your thoughts. Feel free to contact the People Team directly if you wish to discuss it further.
