Pros

The people are generally kind and easy to work with, and for someone with little experience at the front desk, the volume of calls and scheduling and paperwork is really not awful.

Cons

Communication is abysmal. I was hired as a tutor, but when the former EC left, I took over on an interim basis, with the understanding that I would become permanent. Later on, they interviewed, trained, and hired a replacement without telling me, leaving me to fill in sporadically at other centers over December and January. Finally, the other former EC went on medical leave and never came back, so I continued working hoping my position might become permanent, but now with coronavirus, I have been left essentially without a position, and it was like pulling teeth to know where I actually stood.

Pros

I mostly enjoy working along side all my coworkers. The work is incredibly easy, and there is always something that needs to be done. The kids are wonderful (even if you do get screamed at by parents all the time). with the staff directly, we are our own type of family and support each other when and where we can. With the exception of one or two coworkers. Overall I do not hate my job or this company. C2 is a great jumping-off point at the beginning of your career if you are interested in combining a educational background and sales career into one work environment.

Cons

You are expected to have zero work/life balance. You are expected to live and breath this company. You will receive calls, emails and texts late at night, on your days off and during vacation times. Coordinators are seen as the least important. CD's and teachers are the golden eggs while EC's run around doing all the leg work. After healthcare benefits costs and taxes I take home under $1000 every two weeks. You can get bonus's here and there when they feel like giving incentives to hit monthly budget. Depending on what Center you get located at, you will either have room to grow or you will be stuck where you are for years. Coordinators dedication and loyalty is questioned when they need to call out sick and made to feel guilty if they need to take more than one day to rest and get better. Parents love to scream at you over the phone all the time. I have been berated and told off more times than I can count at this point. But at the end of the day you work in sales so you have to keep a smile on your face and just simply take the tongue lashing. And do not expect anyone to defend you or tell these parents that their behavior is inappropriate, because that will never happen. You are more likely to be trained to change your verbiage than anyone tell the parents they should not scream at another human being for not being able to get what they want. BUT AGAIN, that is the life of sales.

Toxic work culture from management

Pros

Ability to help a range of students from elementary to high school level. Workbooks to help students progress. Flexible schedule. Easy pay.

Cons

There is a history of lawsuits against C2 Education for exploiting their teachers. Lack of follow through regarding promises of compensation for training and pay raises. HR is usually unhelpful and protect only the interests of upper management. High turnover of teachers and Center Directors. CDs can either make or break a Center; they have high pressure to meet a monthly sales quota. C2 Education is driven to make a profit (charging parents an upwards of $80 an hour while teachers get paid $20-$30 per hour) rather than provide high quality education.
