C2 Education Response

Educating our children and supporting our employees is at the heart of C2's mission and core values. We really appreciate all of our employees who have an incredible passion for learning, improving through knowledge and team work, and devotion to the student. The Big Apple Employee Awards Program is a great example of how C2 celebrates success - this year, over 20 apples were awarded to C2 employees their business achievements and ability to work as one team with one purpose. C2 provides fair and competitive compensation to our employees. The new leadership team will continue to review and make adjustments to our pay structures to support a culture of accountability and performance at all levels of the organization.

Pros

- Their teaching model works well, and it's rewarding to help students improve. - The managers give tutors and teachers a lot of room to teach the way they want, and there is a lot of available material that teachers can use in their lessons. - Late hours. - Flexible Scheduling.

Cons

- Rather than give employees full ten minutes of break time, C2 gives them two 5 minute blocks between their classes which is often needed to finish the class and prepare for the next class. So there are not really breaks. - Lunch is treated the same as breaks and teachers have to try to squeeze in a 30 minute lunch that is often more like 20 minutes. - No windows. - A full-time tutor gets only 5 days of PTO in the first year.
