Pros

There are some really nice people there. Some people really care for their students.

Cons

A lot of communication in Korean, so if you don't know Korean, it kind of sucks. Some center directors seems to be doing it just for the money. Different center has a different culture. It is all on the center director. Part time/ afternoon hours

Pros

Quality materials are provided, not too much to worry about when teaching students. Just need to focus on the lesson plan for that day.

Cons

Turn around for part-time tutors is high. Hours are difficult to get since they focus on student ratios. They claim to give more hours but they don't.

Pros

-Don't have to deal with parents -Can make a difference with the students (tests, SAT score increases, talk a little about college, etc) -A lot of materials, textbooks, and resources -Fellow tutors are great.

Cons

-Pay is ok, but not that great -Teaching 3 people at once in different subjects isn't easy (plus a lot of students don't get enough of the "individualized attention" they need) -It's annoying to have sessions cancelled at the last minute -You don't get much paid prep time even though you have paperwork to do, sessions to plan, and worksheets to photocopy... -Management will try to get you to teach as many things as you possibly can (even if you don't feel that comfortable doing so) -Work hours for tutors are in the evenings on weekdays (M-Thurs) and 9-5 on Saturdays (Management is really trying to get centers to open on Fridays too)
