Pros

Only pros are tuition reimbursement, limited paid maternity/paternity leave, and internal transfer opportunities.

Cons

Management - especially for background investigators - does not care about employees to the slightest degree. PLEASE JUST RESEARCH HOW THIS CONTRACT/COMPANY HAS HANDLED COVID-19. They just told us to use vacation time or not get paid (this is a multi-billion dollar company). They play money games at every opportunity. For example, they retroactively cut bonuses for EXTRA WORK that employees HAD ALREADY COMPLETED, and threatened legal action if anyone complained. The turnover rate for this job is insane for a reason. Absolutely avoid this company.

Pros

The other software developers are wonderful people to work with. You won't find better people to work with anywhere.

Cons

What prompted me to finally write this review was LGS/CACI's response to COVID19. Sunday night 3/15 the software devs were informed by management that there was a suspected COVID19 case in the building last week. We were informed that management and "indirect" would be working from home but that engineers and direct chargers (aka the workhorses) must come in or use vacation time. There is no ability set up to allow devs to WFH. The message we are literally getting is that it's too risky for people to work in the building but it doesn't matter when it comes to the engineers.

CACI International Response
6y
We know this is a challenging time and CACI is working hard on the best solutions for both our employees and our customers. Employees who work in a CACI facility and can work from home are encouraged to do so. The ability to work from home requires manager and customer approval, and approval is based on the nature of your work responsibilities. CACI is continually monitoring the evolving situation and will provide updates on our Coronavirus SharePoint site where employees can access information, FAQs, guidance, resources, and support. We appreciate your comments and thank you for your understanding.

Pros

Meet a lot of interesting people, go some interesting places

Cons

Unrealistic workload Inadequate training I have waited until I was successful with another company to leave this review just because the gaslighting by management in this position was so severe that I thought that maybe I was a horrible employee who couldn't cut it anywhere. You will have a certain workload that needs to completed by certain dates. This workload will require you to work 60 hour weeks. If you inform your supervisor of this, you will receive the following instructions: work 40 hours and complete your workload or a change will have to be made with your position *hint hint wink wink*. This leads to people either working unpaid hours or cutting corners in a position that they like to pretend is imperative to national security. I will say this; the position is honestly not that bad as long as you go into it with the assumption that you are salaried (40 hrs x pay rate) and you are expected to work 60 hours a week. At least in this case the pay will be horrendous but your expectations will be realistic.
