No growth, toxic culture

Pros

A paycheck and decent health insurance. Seems ok if you are working on the line and therefore bringing in revenue. Just don't work in a cost center. Coworkers are hard-working and kind people.

Cons

Executive leadership is out of touch. Corporate culture is toxic - lies and backstabbing. There are some good people but they tend to be the first ones to leave. Everything happens behind closed doors. Whispers and rumors abound. Execs have little sense of propriety/sensitivity. Execs see support staff as the lowest rung and treat support as such - it's like a caste system. There are cliques rather than genuine team culture. No opportunity for growth (e.g., no cross training or assistance with job related certs). No job security. No recognition for performance/achievements. Teleworking is a myth. It might exist for line employees but for indirect staff it's highly frowned upon and closley monitored. They don't trust their own employees.

Pros

Flexible work schedule. Working from home. Meeting lots of new people and going new places every day. Full reimbursement for internet, mileage, parking, and public transit.

Cons

Working from home gets very lonely. Very little feedback on performance that isn't just stats and figures. Very slow learning curve. Report writing is boring and tedious. Interviews can take hours - sometimes up to a full 8 hour day.

Pros

Your home is your office. The employer provides great benefits for health insurance. Working within a radius from home, unless you TDY.

Cons

Schedule is not so flexible. It depends on others and when they are able to have interviews. After 1 year, it is very difficult to meet metric standards. Which is why people keep leaving. They keep changing the vacation policies, so vacation time isn’t great. Pay is extremely low.
