The Worst Company

Pros

There are ZERO that I can think of. Ignore the "we won this award" boasts online. This is clearly a hired marketing firm getting CAI in the mix. It is certainly NOT a best place to work.

Cons

There are so many. I have worked across companies large and small throughout my career. And this is the absolute worst place. There is absolutely no indication or evidence that CAI actually cares about its most important asset, its employees. The leadership micro-manages, does not take useful employee feedback and actually seemingly discriminates against other religions and cultures by providing zero floating holidays for those who do not celebrate the traditional Christian / American holidays. Additionally, if you have any disability , good luck as you will be using the majority of your limited PTO for doctor and wellness visits. PTO is extremely limited and leadership counts time by the minute. For me, there is no time left for vacation. I barely got any pay at the end of last year to celebrate my own holiday and family time because I have a number of chronic illnesses that require routine medical appointments. And, in case you want to know, yes, I have brought this to the attention of the leadership team, and my feedback has been dismissed.

Pros

Benefits are ok. Be open to doing as they say - BA work as a developer, to debugging code you did not write but will be up at 3 am debugging.

Cons

PTO not great. If they lose money/clients you're fired without so much as a thank you. I work at a client site in chicago, and it feels very "third party employer"ish. No Growth. They are in this to make money, so they hire you pretty easily, easy interviews - but expect you to work on things hardly related to your interests, overtime, and with a pay that falls on the 10th percentile for the industry.

Pros

Computer Aid, Inc. pays well.

Cons

After two years, the 'leaders' are still jockeying for position. The company lacks strategy, goals, and plans. They invest lots of money in hiring 'experts' who are lots of talk and no action, while they cut the jobs of the people who line their pockets.
