What started as just a very unorganized company quickly became typical corporate America with the new management.
Very top heavy with management. Non-management staff is very understaffed and stressed. If you are a competent worker, your work flow will never end and you will be required to take on the workload of many others.
Typical corporate with meeting after meeting and no follow up for action items.
Zero accountability, especially for management.
Management- from the President level on down- harasses, belittles and berates both employees and each other. Management is pitted against each other and promotes same behavior amongst employees. To be clear- this applies to what is left of the old management regime and the new management team.
HR is simply there to protect management. Anything confided to HR is not kept confidential- from personal situations to workplace related issues.
Management creates a gossipy and finger pointing environment.
Management and HR contribute to and promote the gossip.
There were and still are a handful of competent, hardworking employees. Most have left due to the toxic environment, lack of raises, respect and overall work/life balance is horrible.
Management expects a minimum of 50+ hours a week.
Workload for the hard workers is simply impossible to complete in an 8 hour time frame.
On the positive note- there once was a great group of people working together in a fun environment. Even with the lack of organization, lack of raises, lack of growth. That environment made up for the negatives.
New management very harsh with their management of employees' time off, time in, vacation time. Taking a vacation is more stressful than not.
Micro management in all areas with the exception of the areas that do require micro management.
If an astute stranger would come in to this office, they would observe many with little to no duties. Just meeting attendance and lots of standing around talking. And the other half visibly stressed with the high expectations and uneven distribution of workloads.
What started as a very high note ended with extreme disappointment.
I stayed with the hopes things would change. Alas, this was not the case. As much progress as was made with systems, it did and could not make up for the toxic environment which became progressively worse.
I wouldn't normally write reviews, but I will for this place if it saves another individual from wasting precious years of their career before finally realizing NOTHING WILL CHANGE & throwing in the towel.
