Pros

-Personal Growth -Professional Growth -Great team of people, and more good than bad eggs. -As of late great consistent leadership with consistent vision (in the past not so much) -Clear personal goals, always know what you're measured on -Tons of movement within company creates regular opportunity for movement -Results rewarded -Promote from within -Almost recession proof industry -Solid business model, deeply ingrained into US Supply Chain -Fantastic Customer base with key true supplier partnerships.

Cons

-Work life balance is difficult to manage if you want to over perform, although I've seen it done. You have to be the most efficient human on the planet. - You will be overwhelmed. -Fast paced does not do this culture justice -Project culture neurosis. You have an issue? Let's create a project and not consult anyone -High expectations, from shareholder down to personal performance -Feels like conflicting/impossible company wide objectives due to high expectations. all around tight squeeze.

Pros

Salary and bonuses are competitive and bonuses are sometimes increased Vacation time is generous compared with most companies CHEP has a great position within its market and lots of growth potential Company is small enough that individual action can have a great effect

Cons

"Drink the koolaid" type of culture Hours can be very long as many processes are manual and outdated Too many managers and directors and too few people that can actually get work done or improve processes - talent is draining out of the company Politics drive almost all decisions and unqualified people are promoted which has had direct results on performance President openly talks about personal friendships with Directors and Senior Directors that happen to get promoted again and again The company promotes itself as customer-centric but in practice customers usually come last - cost is first Logistics can be very stressful and contentious and leaders do more to exacerbate tensions rather than easing them Moving up in any company can be very political, but CHEP takes this further than any other company I've worked for. It feels like the whole experience is a game played against other employees.
