Pros

*Better PTO policy than most workplaces *Good coworkers *Remote Work (and a nice office in Midvale you can work at if you choose)

Cons

* Corporate politics and rampant toxic positivity. It can feel like performing for the culture matters more than anything else. There is a strong cultural expectation to stay upbeat and cheerful always. Frustration, burnout, or constructive criticism can be interpreted by leadership as negativity rather than feedback. *There appears to be a double standards. Directness or candid feedback from women may be viewed as “negative” or “not leadership material,” while similar behavior from men appears to be taken more seriously. *Stress and burnout are real concerns. Employees are encouraged to speak up when overwhelmed, but in practice that can be risky. Workload concerns may be met with conversations around emotional intelligence rather than meaningful support. When people reach a breaking point after prolonged stress, that response from your leader feels demoralizing instead of supportive. *You can spend years being told to grow, stretch, and prove readiness while leadership opportunities sometimes appear more accessible to outside hires. This creates the feeling that the bar for internal advancement or promotions is constantly moving. *Uncertainty about the future of the company/industry. Recent layoffs and tighter budgets are seen and are contributing to lower morale and concern about long-term direction.

Thank you for taking the time to share this, and for being so candid. The themes you've raised are ones I take seriously: the pressure to prioritize positivity over authenticity, concerns about double standards, the gap between what we say about growth and what employees actually experience, and the disconnect that can come when leadership visibility doesn't match the reality most people are living. If you're open to it, I'd genuinely welcome a direct, confidential conversation — not to defend or explain, but to listen and understand your experience more fully. You can reach out to me personally at any time. Your identity and anything you share will remain completely confidential. What you've shared matters, and I want to do something with it. — Jeff Freeman, EVP People & Culture

Pros

CHG truly does hire good people -- the kind of people who care about one another inside and outside of work. Starring in a play? Your teammates will come watch and support you. Need to have surgery? We'll send you a meal and check in on you while you're away. And covering each other's work when it's needed? No worries. They've got you. When you work with good people and good leaders, your workday is better, and you're happier. It makes you a better employee.

Cons

The healthcare industry is struggling a bit right now, which means it's harder for our people out there selling. That's a trickle-down that reaches everyone, whether you work with doctors or clinics directly or not. And because the cost of things like healthcare are higher now, our benefits costs have gone up too. And our prescription coverage is not as good as it used to be. Its still fine but drugs that used to be very cheap are now more. But we have a pretty good 401 k and onsite healthcare service (free) at our clinic which is great. My family loves that.
