Pros

I enjoy working at CMiC. I have worked at several companies doing similar work, but the challenges and freedom given to developers is the best I've seen. It's great if you're into trying new things and experimenting with the latest and greatest.

Cons

It's not really a good environment for someone who likes a lot of direction. Assignments are usually given and then you're left to work it out on your own. Management will work with you if you approach them, but they pretty much leave you alone unless you go to them. Most of the managers, and even most of the programmers, have been there a long time so it's hard to break in. Once you prove yourself it's great though.

I can't see any good reasons to work in this company

Cons

The salary being below market rates, coupled with a shortage of qualified individuals in Board and VP positions, creates a challenging work environment. Furthermore, the prevailing mentality of bosses rather than leaders exacerbates the situation.

Salary reviews are conducted annually, and our team also does market analysis to ensure salaries are to market standards. We have invested in tools to ensure we are able to get the most accurate market data. We have a diverse set of board members, bringing a variety of expertise and knowledge. We also invest in our leaders with an upcoming leadership training workshop scheduled with an external facilitator. We continuously look for ways to help all of our staff continue to learn and grow.

the worst and most toxic workplace i have experienced in all my years, everyone behaves like they are 5 and no one can take accountability for anything at all - garbage teams with ridiculous turnover. worst workplace ever
