Pros

The best things about working for Country are very limited. Partners Plus bonus is one good thing. Some of the people in HR are nice. I think that's just about it!

Cons

Where to begin? It's full of lazy people and snakes. It wasn't this way before around 2013, but they have made a lot of managerial decisions that show they simply could not care less about the people that work for the company. They have made a trend of mass layoffs over the past couple of years and the people who have been there the longest and tend to make more...they are the first to go. They will also do this en masse without any warning of any type to the employees. New management positions are now typically always filled externally making moving up a very difficult to impossible task. Management is also very unaware of what employees actually do and don't do. People are very clique-ish and if you don't fit with this group or that group, you're toast! My manager had no issue with actually lying and personal bias is a huge issue. Had a new director for 3 months and never even met her. Also, they are stuck in the 90's with their technology and how they use it. I would absolutely not recommend that anyone insure with Country or work for them.

Pros

Sponsors you to get a license, Can be used as a stepping stone for something bigger.

Cons

Pay for licensing out of pocket, and have to take on own time. Performance benchmarks are cut and dry on policies written, regardless of value of policy(sold largest single premium whole life policy in the office, and was fired for not meeting p+c hurdles for policies written). Retirement accounts, and education accounts are a joke. People think you work at Countrywide, and are out to scam them.
