Pros

Great navigation system, good place to learn about the ins and out of Property/ Casualty and Life Insurance. Best start up in the industry.

Cons

Poor rates, overly tough underwriting. Life Insurance sale expectations are tough to meet. Plan on buying a lot of policies on you and family members in order to succeed. Forced to use a financial system module on customers that they don't want. High turnover with new agents.

I've learned a lot about the financial world. They helped me get my licenses. My direct bosses are really nice people.

Cons

The most conservative company I've ever worked for. I feel like I've gone back in the stone ages. Minorities and women do not advance in this company unless you were rich with lots of life insurance connections coming in. People have no idea who we are or even that we sell insurance. The farm bureau thing is a joke; everyone who works at farm bureau are getting paid to do nothing because Country must be getting kickbacks while we are forced to hassel our clients to keep their farm bureau dues paid on top of our already expensive premiums.
