      Decent, but complicated

      Pros

      I believe people care a lot. Leadership is trying to right the ship. One of the best in its class. Good people. CEO is doing his best and results are showing, in my opinion.

      Cons

      Lots of turnover. Mid-poor pay. Mid-poor benefits. Many RIFs. Poor processes. Poor enablement.

We understand that RIFs (Reductions in Force) create a challenging environment, and we are working hard to stabilize our teams and improve our internal enablement processes to better support our employees. Regarding compensation and benefits, we continuously review our packages to ensure we remain competitive within our industry. Your feedback is invaluable as it helps us identify the specific areas where we need to improve to make our company a better place to work.

      It was okay, but do not recommend for those looking to newly join

      Pros

      Pay was decent, the people were relatively good, and because the company runs thin, you get exposure to other parts of the business.

      Cons

      Many pains. Almost like it's a scramble to grow the business but having no plan to do so, just hopes. Unless you are pursuing a customer facing role or working in SOC, I would not consider joining Critical Start at this time.

      Pros

      - Good company culture and supportive leadership — people often call it collaborative, open, and friendly. - Work-life balance is frequently praised: flexibility (including hybrid/remote options) and reasonable workloads are noted as advantages. - The company seems to offer opportunities for learning and professional growth, with training, certifications, and meaningful projects especially in cybersecurity, which many find intellectually rewarding.

      Cons

      Compensation may feel below expectations increments could be better, especially given the expectations or workload Workload and pace can be demanding, especially when the company is growing fast; that pressure can make the work stressful at times and poor onboarding for new employees
