Pros

The pros of this job is that it is a job.

Cons

I've never seen any company care less about their employees. They do not do ANYTHING they say they will do, you'll be told your up for a promotion for months and months and still never get it. When you get hired, they tell you the "increments" of pay increases, and what they say is completely untrue. They play favorites and if you aren't the favorite then you mean NOTHING. I have never been at a job that literally made me emotionally and in turn physically sick. I want to cry every time I get up and go to work.

CSAA IG - TOXIC ENVIRONMENT

Pros

6% matching 401K, health and dental benefits, tuition reimbursement program...honestly it is becoming very difficult to figure out the pros for working at CSAA IG because you can get all the above somewhere else if you are a good employee with good head and skills. Read below CONS

Cons

I’ve been an employee for CSAA IG for years. I have gone through the company separation and re-branding. Witness the chaos and hear the woes from employees throughout my years of stay but nothing compares to what I see and hear now. When you see and hear from multiple departments across the company how those who deserve to be fired received no such treatment instead excel and be promoted, you are starting to wonder who or what you are working for. Can you really BELIEVE and WORK for a company that is willing to promote NO ACCOUNTABILITIES, LAZINESS, UNDERHANDED MOVES and NON-SUPPORTIVE/HOSTILE ENVIRONMENT? A person who does not have the aptitude, skills or maturity for particular position should not be promoted just because they have been with the company for a long time. A person who consistently demonstrates rudeness borderline hostility and who also dumps their responsibilities to someone else should be put in probation and fired when they continue exhibits improper behaviors. A person in position of power who performs micro aggressions/harassment to other employees, who also hired their friends/family not based from their skills and actual contribution should be properly investigated, put in place and/or remove from the position of power. A person caught stealing should be fired. None of these people should be coddled. It's not rocket science. People notice and people talk. Failure to address these problems is bad for morale and more. There was a time when I enjoyed my work here and found others who were willing to do the Right Thing. Slowly these good employees leave and replace by less than stellar employees and/or those with personal agenda. Career growth is slow unless you are willing to be someone favorite pawns by lying and performing other questionable behaviors that certainly isn't for the best of the company interest. Corruption and Nepotism happen everywhere but when it’s on the scale like this and it’s only growing more, you should be alarmed. If you don’t believe me read other reviews and you will find similar reviews from other former employees who had been here for years. UNLESS YOU ARE WILLING TO LOSE YOUR MIND, SOUL, INTEGRITY AND DIGNITY PLEASE DO NOT APPLY TO WORK HERE!!! SAVE YOURSELF THE MISERY!

Pros

-pay is competitive -lower level management is engaged -coworkers are pleasant.

Cons

The benefits are atrocious and the upper management could honestly care less. You could bring a competitors package and sit it on the table in front of them and they would still argue that they are competitive. They state that a particular culture exists, but it’s honestly only lived on paper. They will bring a process to front line reps, receive feedback, ignore the feedback and roll it out anyway. Then when the entire process bursts into flames, management will double down. Long story short, egos of upper management are getting in the way of process improvement. They rely on spreadsheets to drive innovation and when questioned, you’ll receive the CEO’s favorite catchphrase, ‘If this isn’t something you can get behind, I would encourage you to seek employment elsewhere.’ Overall a great place, if you don’t mind trying to working for a company that will tell you to stop using your brain and get back on the phone or find a new job.
