Pros

All of the equipment needed to work from home is provided. Generous PTO.

Cons

There is a lack of visibility with senior leadership and other employees The training does not translate into the job itself so it feels as though there was a lot of time wasted The pay is very low compared to market and considering the workload

Pros

CSC is a great place to gain experience, especially if you are starting out in the working world. It’s fast paced and exciting, you will not get bored. The people you work with day to day are great and make coming to the work worth it. You will have an opportunity to enter roles that will be hard to get into at other companies early in your career and the experience you gain is invaluable. I watched many people deservedly rise through the ranks from entry level to middle management positions. Benefits package for health insurance and 401k are comparable to other companies. The company is stable and almost never down sizes business units.

Cons

Unfortunately, pay is lower than average in the area. Raises can be difficult to come by at promotion time and end of year raises often don’t make up for missed mid year promotion. Year over year, it can severely stunt take home pay and puts you at a less competitive edge than your peers at other companies. People are often asked to manage multiple responsibilities across multiple roles at once.m which prevents them from excelling in any one area. Advancement opportunity can be hard if you don’t want to be in leadership. Some benefits are less than other companies: Maternity leave isnt as good as some area companies and paternity leave doesn’t exist. I would still recommend CSC to people, it just depends where you are in your career and what your are looking for long term.

Pros

small company remote work (but that is becoming more common) pay was ok for me, not sure about everyone else

Cons

ad-hoc and chaotic work structure with constant operational fire fighting, true is virtually non-existent spent years trying to improve and pickup skills and overall make things better, but there's no desire to improve process technology and grow the senior staff (unless they're original team members) despite having skills shortage of senior mw staff, they're solution was ti bring in entry level staff (which was really mind boggling) That and weekly (TPS) excel timesheet weekly report was to much and it was time to move.. unfortunate as I had every intention of retiring there, but just couldn't do it.
