Pros

Company has long history and continues to increase and grow business opportunities. There are many good workers who are accountable and want to do a good job.

Cons

Company is extremely top heavy from upper management on. Imagine what you would consider top heavy and then double it. Compensation is bad especially in Operations and Service fields mostly thought of because of the high volume of upper management making excellent money. Promotions don't exist, move on and up and your told "it's a lateral move", when it clearly is not (hello we read the job descriptions that we are posting for). PTO is minimum, accrued and you use PTO if your are sick. Bad year for weather/school closings and sickness = docked pay because accrued PTO doesn't cover hours you can't sit at your physical desk. No consistency amongst departments regarding telecommuting, overtime etc. It's no secret some can work from home and others can't. Don't assume it depends on your position of ranking either. Feel free to work overtime without pay because you want to be known as a performer or you will be quickly relieved of your duties.

Pros

A lot of internal opportunities to move around, ability to gain experience in various departments, use a lot of applications that will help you grow your skill set and knowledge, gives you the "corporate" feel and experience

Cons

They don't pay their employees fairly - aside from the sales team & senior management, the HR department does things backwards. The entire company could use a management training course, especially for most team leaders through out the company They will tell you when transferring from another department, most new positions are "lateral" therefore you most likely will not get any sort of raise, and if you do, it will be slim to none

Pros

CSC adheres to company values. Strong leadership in many areas. Sr. Management has a good handle on the P&L and knows how to drive revenue.

Cons

Average pay. I was constantly reminded that I was "high paid" vs. colleagues and that it "put a target on my back." Ridiculous Travel Expense policy. One time I spent 3 days researching cheaper hotel rooms in NYC because the $200 conference rate was too high. While management is mostly reasonable, they have a tough time accurately assessing talent and contribution. For example, the guy who now runs the small business unit is a dope. He accidentally stumbled on a successful marketing program and they acted as if he invented telemarketing. He has personally caused at least five highly regarded middle managers to leave the company.
