Pros

Most of the employees are equally as miserable so there is a lot of bonding over low pay, terrible management, awful business decisions, etc.

Cons

Not sure where to begin so I'll just rattle what comes to mind. I also want to acknowledge that I was in the DBS department and can't speak for the others so everything below is solely about DBS. For one, there are no 360 reviews. Management gives their "inferiors" reviews but no open line of communication for reviewing and feedback-giving is welcome to superiors. This is particular frustrating and concerning because management from the top-down is either so completely unaware of what's going on at the analyst level, or simply don't care at all. There's a lot of talk about how CSC values its employees, the 5 values are super important and upheld by everyone, etc. but that is all for show. In my experience the leaders are the LEAST likely employees at the company to uphold any of the core values. Management cares little about who works under them and it shows in a variety of ways: good analysts are completely overworked and burned out while under-performing analysts are allowed to get away with doing poor work (or no work at all) due to the team structure). Good workers who get promoted might get a title change but it never comes with a pay increase (besides the annual raise which never even comes close to matching with what the inflation raise is). I've never been at another company that does NOT reward its employees monetarily when they get added more work and responsibility. It's absolutely preposterous that so many people took the job changes they did. Lead analysts and service managers are the people who build the relationships with the clients, yet if an upsell occurs, they don't see any of the profits - all the money is given to the salesperson (who more often than not sells the service incorrectly which again falls on the shoulders of the BPSM and lead analysts to clean up). This completely de-incentivizes CSC employees to do well, especially since we are already paid so little.

Pros

Pay is competitive. 3 weeks vacation. You can work remotely fairly often, so it's flexible.

Cons

I would never recommend working in the project management arena, especially in technology. The micro-management is brutal, and there's no opportunity for agile within the department. It's very command and control, do as I say. If you're looking for an opportunity to improve an organization, I wouldn't recommend this, because they are not willing to change. However, if you are someone who is ok being told exactly what to do every day, I think it would be a good fit.

Pros

There are a couple of good colleagues. I wish them my best.

Cons

Very primitive, rude development department which actually remembers you on a 3 world company. There is no written processes to guide the people in the company. This is actually not the norm in the software development. It's a shock to see that people working because of fear losing their job and not because of working ethic. We know that the fear leads to ineffective work and also untruths. Generally, every engineer needs to talk freely but this is no option in development department even it doesn't harm anybody. I have never seen people crying because of the humiliation at work which I did in this company. I wondered to see this but actually nobody in this organization really take note of it. There is no code of conduct that the employees (any kind) follow to keep the peace and level of civilization. You always running on a very thin boarder because of lack of clarity in processes and unwritten laws.
