Pros

The best thing really is it is no worse than any other outsourcer in the UK, having worked for anothe major outsourcer in the UK all I can say is take your pick as they are all the same.

Cons

As with all UK outsourer's you have to grab the best salary you can when you join as the pay rises after are a joke. also unless you are based in Aldershot you are just one of the forgotton many. This may be a positive good reason for some people but it is very easy to hide in CSC as long as you are working on chargable work you can just do as little as you want. but to be honest it is a bbig downside as you have no way of getting on in the company

Pros

If you are a Senior level consultant, low maintenace, low need for assistance and ready to work in a corporate environment and just "do your job", CSC is OK. Individuals can be recognized for their subject matter expertise and will be in high demand. The pay can be good for those high demand subject matter experts.

Cons

CSC does not attrach or develop strong leaders. Poor managers and/or leaders tend to be tolerated at the expense of attracting and retaining the best people. CSC is a technology company that has not figured out how to move into the C-Level office and solve business problems. Thus, most of CSC's business tends to be very competitive and in lower end commodity services.

Pros

Sick Leave keep accrueing without getting reset which can be useful for emergencies after a few years. Big company with many locations worldwide, and if on the right project, possibility to travel around the world. On most projects, hours are flexible, and it's possible to work from home. Online training/books accessible to employees. It is possible to grow quickly when willing to invest a lot of time. It is also possible to get a "good" life (little stress/little work) on some long term production maintenance tasks.

Cons

Many expectations [work extra hours, increased productivity] with little reward. Not focused on personal growth despite corporate speech. Focus is on meeting impossible deadlines.
