Pros

Extremely knowledgeable and innovative in R&D, leader in the pharmaceutical industry

Cons

Only care about accolades for the company and leadership, don’t care about employees at all. They’re happy to lay off hundreds, even 1000 employees, just to save money. Even if doing so will absolutely shoot them in the foot because so many departments will no longer have enough experts to function and all departments besides R&D will be chronically understaffed and overworked.

Pros

Good people and opportunity to grow one's career.

Cons

CSL acquired the company. Their business practices are not employee-friendly. Management is hard and lacking in empathy and emotional intelligence. Very focused on making sure that they reach their financial numbers to please shareholders. Pretty lousy company to work for.

Pros

You will learn a lot about reorganization and how layoffs are conducted. You will master how to survive corporate hunger games if you stay.

Cons

This company is successful due to the science...the business is actually run very poorly from senior leaders, to all levels of management. And employees pay the price in constant reorgs and layoffs, limited budgets, lack of movement or promotions, and limited opportunity. No such thing as employee development. Company is a good old boys club in many areas with a few select "rising stars" who are the favorites who get promoted despite poor performance. Salaries are lower than other pharmaceuticals. HR is useless, starting with TA who are more focused on diverse candidates than qualified ones. Contractors treated like garbage. Avoid.
