Pros

-Great coworkers -Good location -Nice office -Relaxed work culture/atmosphere -Frequently promote from within -Excellent stepping stone/transition for expats trying to get out of teaching -Great middle management, respectful, appreciative, professional, usually honest -Can be convinced to pay competitive wages

Cons

-CEO is ridiculously nepotistic and delusional -Middle management terrified to tell CEO when she has a bad idea -Company culture = bend over backwards to let CEO think what she wants to -Frequent restructuring involving layoffs and major team/system/workflow changes -Incredibly high employee turnover rate independent of layoffs -Lots of broken promises/lies and other bad-faith actions from HR. -Zero benefits/bonuses

We appreciate your feedback, it's important for us to learn more about the perception of our management structure. While CSOFT is an international company, we do experience a lot of cultural influence from our staff. In China, its quite common for people to not want to approach upper management with questions or concerns. We work hard to try to change this cultural norm in order to make the office a comfortable experience for all our employees. CSOFT provides question and answer sessions with the CEO and direct access to upper management in order to encourage people to reach out. We encourage questions, suggestions, comments, and constructive criticism from all of our employees in order to create a transparent work space.

Thank you for your comments, we're glad that you enjoyed CSOFT's international work environment during your time with us. Tasks can get a bit remidial and routine - as they do at most jobs - but we always encourage CSOFTers to go above and beyond. We love to hear new ideas from our team and try to give all our employees opportunities to contribute to the company in new and exciting ways!

We appreciate your feedback, it's very helpful to hear from our international team and their experience of our management structure. The tiered management structure is not for everyone, but it is very common in China. While it may sometimes feel inefficient or unnecessary, this tiered structure is meant to protect employees and to allow them to have attentive managers who interact with them on a daily basis. We also do provide all employees with direct access to upper management and encourage employees to ask questions and interact with all of the CSOFT management team.
