Pros

I had the opportunity to work across multiple CSOFT offices and really learn the ins and outs of the company. - Colleagues become like family - Great opportunities to gain experience - Fun, vibrant company culture - Interesting, quickly changing industry I always found CSOFT to be a place where you can 'get out what you put in''. If you put in minimal work and don't participate in team building, you probably will be unhappy in your position. But if you jump into company and put in hard work, you will see that this is a company who likes to give back to its employees (through opportunities, and fun events) whenever possible.

Cons

In my time at CSOFT, I saw that the company was in a huge growth stage and along with that, came some difficulties. Management expected a lot of it's employees. They were very forthcoming that part of their payment plan to employees was based on 'paying younger people with opportunities'. They were honest that they could not afford to pay top level salaries but asked their employees to put in the effort, and reap their rewards in experience. I did find there was a cultural divide between some members of management and international employees. I think this could have been easily solved by implementing mid-level management with different cultural/work backgrounds.

Thank you for the feedback. We are glad you enjoyed the work environment and we appreciate your points about the management and their expectations to the employees. Creating an environment where employees can approach management to ask questions takes time and effort, and we are committed to "bridging the gap" and improving all the channels of communication increasing the fairness in expectations from managers to employees. We appreciate your advice on creating a clearer leadership structure and a mid-level management with different cultural and work backgrounds. We do our best to create a dynamic flow between all levels of employees through our team-building and other social events, and to enhance positive relations between management and employees.

Pros

To share my experience working at CSOFT, I've been here now for about a year, and in the short time, I've have had the opportunity to develop my career and skillset in a supportive and collaborative environment. While the company is well-established, the Boston office is small and gives a sense of start-up culture where you can learn just about every part of the business and develop your interests accordingly. Yes, there are times of the year that are incredibly busy, however that is the same with any company I've worked at. I have worked closely with most members of our international team on various different projects, and honestly this may be one of my favorite parts of the job! Everyone I've interacted with is super helpful and kind, and understands we are all on the same team, and they all want you to succeed just as much as they want the company to. Because of the international nature, there are some late nights or early mornings, however if for whatever reason I have a conflict in my schedule I haven't had any problems addressing this with upper management. Personally, I've had no issues in terms of benefits or pay, and I can say without hesitation that if you're looking for a workplace that you can grow your career, as long as you put the effort in, it will pay off and then some here.

Cons

Some late nights or early mornings, given the company is international and has employees all over the world.
