      Pros

      Outfitters have the ability to crosstrain in multiple departments. Cabela's offers acceptable discount based on seniority. Company also offers paid vacations to outfitters.

      Cons

      Favoritism, unengaged and cocky senior management, clueless HR and regional team, extremely unhappy, unappreciated and lacking engagement outfitters. Inconsistent accountability for outfitters based on department manager.

      Pros

      I enjoyed the first 8 years of my employment, I loved my job and enjoyed the people and moved up regularly.

      Cons

      The last year of my employment I was treated very poorly by my supervisor, If you aren't in with upper management then look out. The management in the dept I worked in for all most 9 yrs will lie and stab others in the back to cover up or move up or get rid of someone they don't like and very unaccountable. Very little shopping choices in Sidney, finding housing for new employees has been very difficult. I was very disappointed in a company that I truly believed in.

      Pros

      Products and coworkers are fun to work with.

      Cons

      Do not by any means get sucked into moving to Sidney. Bought a house there and after deciding to move away have had it now five years, can't sell and paid too much given the non existent life, no immediate cultural activities, 60 miles to a Home Depot, 4 hours to a decent restaurant. Clubby, crappy rednecks and a thriving drug trade and homicides top it off.
