Pros

The buildings are beautiful and designed around the needs of the patient population. Makes patient care so much easier to perform and navigate.

Cons

Will give you more responsibilities that can possibly be done in one day, to the point of exhaustion/ burnout/ abuse.

Pros

The camaraderie amongst the nursing staff on my unit was outstanding. My former DON was sportive and caring. Unformatted when people were promoted or moved on to other facilities, the new staff that replaced them were very flippant and gossipy. That cost the facility one star.

Cons

The new staff replacements - gossip-mongers and uncaring.

Pros

Great staff that has great great potential. Love the residents and working with appreciative people. Vaccine given for free and free parking. Hands on experience given through different assignments.

Cons

Just needs more organization and consistency from all departments. A lot of learning and growth, but have to be flexible. Pay can start low and work load can be heavy due to facility size. Support systems aren't always there.
