Pros

Going to work each day felt like going to see extended family members that you really like and care about. Yes there were days that felt overwhelming but most of the time it was pretty chill. Most everyone on my team was great to work with. Most of leadership really cared about the teams they ran and tried to push for positive attitudes each and everyday. Catered lunches happened here and there as rewards and for things that required all hands on deck, it was a nice perk. Having the opportunity to sit with the CEO and chat with a small group of my peers about the future of the CU was pretty cool. Every year the CU put on a conference "AFG" with guest speakers and to give insight of the direction of the CU for the next year. My direct leadership was pretty awesome. Overall It was a great place to work, but it just wasn't the right place for me.

Cons

Hourly pay could have been better, but the incentive pay help supplement what was missing. Dealing with members when interest rates sky rocket can be hard too. Having to explain to members that the auto dealer do not work for the CU and that the CU have guidelines to lending on vehicles can be a challenge when a person is wanting to lower their monthly payment or APR. waking up early for meetings when they could have happened at the end of the day.

Pros

- I believe the pay was better than other financial institutions, but not significantly. - Good branch managers - Discounts were decent - I heard from coworkers that corporate life was nice but the managers weren't that great - They push for growth and development more than others

Cons

- Development opportunities are not the best - Expectations and long term goals change too often - They don't listen to their members - CEO is...different - Branch life morale is low - The whole family thing was weird. I realized we weren't "family" when we couldn't get a simple car loan approved. Then we got an approval at another Colorado CU for the lowest rate possible. -Pay was lower than other opportunities and the raises are discouraging. I left for a 30% increase in my pay
