I've worked for several financial institutions over the years, and I can honestly say that Canvas is my favorite employer. The benefits are outstanding; among my favorite benefits is the 2% employee discount on auto loans and mortgages. As a recent first-time homebuyer, that discount amounts to substantial savings every month. And since equity isn't available due to its not-for-profit nature, Canvas offers generous profit sharing to all employees. I feel that Canvas cares about me on both a professional and personal level, and I really appreciate how the executive team places Canvas' members and employees at the center of all of their decisions.

Cons

As a relatively small financial institution, competing against large banks and FinTech companies with slick technology can be challenging. But what Canvas may lack in technology, it makes up for with its people and service.

Canvas provides a very opportunistic environment, allowing for a safe space to flex your innovative muscle for the purposes of serving others and advancing the credit union movement. Come humbly!

Cons

We have been playing catch up for a little while in terms of sophistication of technology, but we are making strong strides and continue to explore new advancements.
